Subj: [ALEPH-PNAI-OR] New Shamash Class on Derek Eretz Zuta + Rabbah + Jewish Spiritual Renewal

Shalom! L'Shana Tova and Chag Sameich Sukkoth:

Beginning with the Shabbat of 10/2/10, Parasha Beresheit, we will begin our 4th class on Shamash's OnLine service.

As always our classes are free and there are no pleas for funds later on to keep us going.

We will study the minor Talmudic Tractates of Derek Eretz Zuta and Rabbah along with some mussar, ethics, and ways of living our lives ethically with our fellows. While derek eretz literally means 'walking the land,' it is about how we live our lives daily, doing our best, trying to do what is 'just and right in God's eyes', getting along with our family, friends, and neighbors, and living life with shlema, integration, which leads to true shalom and serenity, being happy, joyous and free.

Signing up for the class is easy. One can go to Shamash.org, and click onto ''Mailing Lists'. When the list appears, alphabetically taking you to classes beginning with 'F,'  at the bottom of the page, scroll to the bottom, and change the ''50 lists per page'' to 500. Then click ''update.''  When the next full list appears, scroll to "spiritual renewal,'' click on that  and this will take you to another page. Look at the right side of the new page, called 'options.' Then click on 'subscribe.' Then on the next page that comes up, type in your email address and your name, and click 'subscribe.' If you don't want to use your real name, use an avitar name, but the computer needs a first and last name.

If the above is giving you a kup ache, simply email me, at RabbiSegal@JewishSpiritualRenewal.net and I can sign you up. I will need your email and name, or pseudonym. All you have to  type is 'subscribe ,' in the subject line.

We have 556 signed up as of today, and our class consists of those who have never studied the Torah or Talmud before, to many rabbis. We have a friendly group and no question or comment is ever ridiculed. Any one that wants to ask a question 'off line,' and be answered privately, is welcome to do so, as always.

We look forward to saying Baruch ha Ba, welcome, to all new folks signing up to learn.

Shalom u'vracha:
R'Arthur
